Pam Chapman: 30's, woman involved in a soulless marriage, whose desire to take ballroom dance lessons is opposed by her domineering, controlling husband

Bryce Chapman: 30's, Pam's cold, mercurial husband, who is a self-made billionaire and entrepreneur

Bob Sanders: 30's, a man, recently jilted by his fiancee, who decides to take ballroom dance lessons

Bailey: generous, intriguing dance instructor who offers Pam & Bob free ballroom lessons as a Christmas gift
